Space Climate Symposium 10

I attended Space Climate10 Symposium, held in  Åland, Finland, from 9–12 June 2026, alongside Assistant Professor Hayakawa of the Solar–Terrestrial Environmental History Group, Associate Professor Miyake of the Cataclysmic Disasters and Dating Group, and Dr Monterde-Andrade from ISEE. The Space Climate Symposium is an international conference that brings together experts from a wide range of disciplines related to the Sun-Earth interactions. The conference involved many presentations on present and historical space climate studies with direct implications for current work into historical solar storms being conducted by our group, which I hope will lead to potential future collaborations with several groups.
On the 12th of June, I gave my presentation on my re-examination of an old, but still widely used, magnetospheric model. Where I found several noticeable shortcomings in the current implementation of the model, which I fixed and adapted the model to work for historical super-geomagnetic storms. The talk went well, with several participants wishing to discuss the work afterwards and offer suggestions for future work.
